HISTORY:

     The last manuscript to arrive at the SMLA in March 1953 was that for "Souvenir," which     showed up on the 26th. The Agency found the story a spot in Fantastic Universe magazine of Oct 1954. And that’s it until THE COLLECTED STORIES.

    The title says it all. You’ll have to read the story to realise it, though, but sometimes a souvenir is all that ever remains: A wooden cup from a lost civilization kindles a fire in a young boy’s eyes.
