HISTORY

    In May 1980 a signal event in the distribution of PKD’s short stories occurred. This was publication by Berkley Books of THE GOLDEN MAN collection, edited by Mark Hurst and containing fifteen of PKD’s very best short stories from all parts of his career such as "Sales Pitch", The Mold of Yancy" and the title story "The Golden Man."

    What marks this collection, other than the stories, is the Introduction and ‘story notes’ written by PKD specifically for this edition. Sometimes, indeed in many cases, these comments are the only ones made by Dick on the stories.
